Outreach Support Worker – ACHWM – ECHO Research Centre @ Laurentian University – Greater Sudbury, ON

$35,000 – $39,000 a year

This is a full-time position supporting knowledge exchange with Indigenous communities as part of a collaborative inter-disciplinary research team.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Assist with outreach support for the Aboriginal Children’s Health and Well-being (ACHWM) Program of research
  • Monitoring and responding to inquiries about the ACHWM
  • Connecting with new communities and keeping minutes from each meeting
  • Track key to-do items required to support each community
  • Assist with the development of RedCap data bases and reporting from those data bases.
  • Customize and complete Research Agreements with partner communities
  • Search and review research literature when required with guidance from the team
  • Potential to contribute to academic publications
  • Travel to some communities may be required


  • Under-graduate degree in Health Sciences (BSc, BHSc) or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with various software packages (Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational, communication and computer skills
  • Knowledge of or interest in Indigenous children’s health
  • Able to work independently
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset (English and Ojibwe) but is not required
