Bring your research, analytical and knowledge transfer skills to the Senior Specialist – International Housing Research position in Ottawa.
As a member of the Housing Needs Socio-Economic Research team, you will be contributing to the development of housing policy and housing sector innovation through research, analysis and knowledge mobilization related to gaining a better understanding of:
- Housing and social systems of other countries, how they work, the organizations involved, and the directions they are heading
- Current international research and practice on meeting the needs of vulnerable populations, trends in community and government responses to housing needs, social inclusion, housing outcomes, and housing performance,
- How innovative housing policies, programs, technologies and practices from other countries can be used to improve the affordability, inclusiveness and performance of new and existing policies, programs, codes and standards in Canada; and
- Applying lessons learned in the international context to the planning and design of Canadian housing policies and programs to improve outcomes for Canadians, particularly those most in need of safe, affordable and supportive sustainable housing and neighbourhoods.
