The University of New Brunswick (UNB) is the province’s largest university, an educational and research network with 225 years of history in New Brunswick (NB), and two main campuses located in Fredericton and Saint John. Our mission is to create the premier university environment for our students, faculty and staff in which to learn, work and live. To achieve the goals outlined in our strategic plan, and to engage and communicate our research outside of NB, the University will implement knowledge mobilization initiatives to maximize the benefit of research and scholarly activity. The services to support knowledge mobilization are distributed across the University’s Office of Research Services and across various research centres, networks and research teams. The New Brunswick Social Policy Research Network (NBSPRN), is one such organization located at UNB with the mandate to advance an evidence-based approach to policy development. NBSPRN offers a number of KM s
ervices to its membership including matching collaborators, brokering relationships, offering research and grant proposal support and disseminating research findings. The Network’s Executive Director and Research Coordinator will represent UNB by participating in Research Impact Canada and building capacity for knowledge mobilization throughout UNB campuses, the province and the rest of Canada.
