Membership involves a commitment to participate in and support the network. New members identified a full time equivalent knowledge broker and a Director who would coordinate knowledge mobilization activities. The VP Research or equivalent at each university endorsed the application for membership.<br \/>\nResearchImpact was originally funded by SSHRC and CIHR through an Intellectual Property Mobilization grant held by York University and partnered with the University of Victoria. Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, University du Quebec a Montreal, University of Guelph and University of Saskatchewan joined ResearchImpact in 2010. Today the 10 member network acts as a community of practice, sharing tools and building capacity for institutional knowledge mobilization services. By supporting research engagement and dissemination, knowledge mobilization helps to maximize the economic, social and environmental impacts of university research and learning.<br \/>\nHere\u2019s what the new RIR members are saying:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/researchimpact.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/04\/udem.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5878\" style=\"margin:5px;\" title=\"University of Montreal\" alt=\"University of Montreal logo\" src=\"http:\/\/researchimpact.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/04\/udem.jpg?w=300\" width=\"300\" height=\"141\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n\u00ab\u00a0I mobilize, you transfer, we apply research-based knowledge\u2026 and the whole society benefits. Knowledge mobilization is a necessary tool if we intend to increase the impact of our research. Pour \u00eatre admis dans le r\u00e9seau, les adh\u00e9rents se sont engag\u00e9s \u00e0 participer activement \u00e0 ses activit\u00e9s et \u00e0 les soutenir. Ils ont d\u00e9sign\u00e9 un courtier ou une courti\u00e8re de connaissances qui se consacre \u00e0 temps plein \u00e0 cette t\u00e2che, ainsi qu\u2019une directrice ou un directeur qui coordonne les activit\u00e9s de mobilisation des connaissances (MdC). La candidature de chaque universit\u00e9 avait re\u00e7u l\u2019appui du vice-rectorat \u00e0 la recherche (ou de l\u2019unit\u00e9 \u00e9quivalente).<br \/>\n\u00c0 l\u2019origine, le R\u00e9seau Impact Recherche a \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9 par le Conseil de recherche en sciences humaines du Canada (CRSHC) et les Instituts de recherche en sant\u00e9 du Canada (IRSC), gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une subvention \u00e0 la mobilisation de la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle accord\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 York, en partenariat avec l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Victoria. En\u00a02010, l\u2019Universit\u00e9\u00a0 Memorial de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Guelph et l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de la Saskatchewan se joignaient au R\u00e9seau Impact Recherche. Aujourd\u2019hui, nos 10\u00a0membres forment une communaut\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9change de pratiques au sein de laquelle ils diffusent leurs outils et leurs ressources, ce qui leur permet de renforcer la capacit\u00e9 des services de MdC de leur \u00e9tablissement respectif. KPU est solidement enracin\u00e9e dans les communaut\u00e9s qu\u2019elle dessert. L\u2019engagement communautaire authentique, au moyen du d\u00e9veloppement de la recherche communautaire appliqu\u00e9e et de l\u2019apprentissage par le travail b\u00e9n\u00e9vole, est la pierre d\u2019assise de notre nouveau Plan strat\u00e9gique. Aujourd\u2019hui plus que jamais, au Canada, les communaut\u00e9s cherchent \u00e0 maximiser et \u00e0 mobiliser les r\u00e9sultats des solutions intersectorielles locales \u00e0 des probl\u00e8mes complexes.
