There are lots of book sellers and publishers at Congress. There are lots of individual <a href=\"http:\/\/researchimpact.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/fedcan-new-e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4921\" style=\"margin:5px;\" title=\"Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences\" src=\"http:\/\/researchimpact.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/fedcan-new-e.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>scholars talking about their projects at Congress. And there are three pan-Canadian organizations that support them with a presence in the book fair, the agora of Congress: Social Sciences &amp; Humanities Research Council (SSHRC); Canadian Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS) and ResearchImpact-R\u00e9seauImpactRecherche (RIR). Our good friends at the Canada Foundation for Innovation are also here but without a booth.<br \/>\nThe Governor General spoke of the <a href=\"http:\/\/researchimpact.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/27\/post-cards-from-congress-day-1-2\/\">Community Campus Collaboration Initiative<\/a> when he opened Congress with his Big Thinking lecture. The CCC Initiative is a big tent stretching across the country. It is big enough to welcome RIR along with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accc.ca\/\">Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.accc.ca\/\">Association of Canadian Community Colleges<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pfc.ca\/\">Philanthropic Foundations of Canada<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unitedway.ca\/\">United Way Centraide Canada<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/home-accueil-eng.aspx\">SSHRC<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imaginecanada.ca\/\">Imagine Canada<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/communityresearchcanada.ca\/\">Community Based Research Canada<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fedcan.ca\/en\">CFHSS<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccph.info\/\">Campus Community Partnerships for Health<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sigeneration.ca\/\">Social Innovation Generation<\/a>. \u00a0A very pan-Canadian tent.<a href=\"http:\/\/researchimpact.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/sshrc_landing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4922\" style=\"margin:5px;\" title=\"SSHRC \/ CRSH\" src=\"http:\/\/researchimpact.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/05\/sshrc_landing.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"125\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nLast night RIR, SSHRC and CFHSS enjoyed dinner with University of Victoria, hosts of Congress 2013. We spoke of the need to bring the country to Victoria and build on the efforts of Congress 2012 that has a theme of social innovation and collaboration. UVic hosted Community University Expo 2008. UVic is home to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/ocbr\">Office of Community Based Research<\/a> and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/research\/learnabout\/mobilizingknowledge\/index.php\">Knowledge Mobilization Unit<\/a>.
