Join MITACS Skills Enhancement Program for this one-day workshop and improve your presentation skills through a day of practice and onsite feedback!<br \/>\nWhat: Practice your Presentation Skills!<br \/>\nWhen: Friday, March 6th, 2009<br \/>\nTime: 8:30AM \u2013 4:30PM (Registration 8:00AM sharp!)<br \/>\nWhere: 89 Chestnut Street, Room TBD<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.ca\/maps?f=q&amp;source=embed&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=89+chestnut+street,+toronto&amp;sll=49.891235,-97.15369&amp;sspn=38.380876,79.101563&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;z=14&amp;iwloc=addr&amp;ll=43.662284,-79.381113\">View Larger Map<\/a><br \/>\nWhat you will learn:<\/p>\n<ul> Create a memorable introduction;<br \/>\nUnderstand the main elements of a short speech;<br \/>\nLearn how gestures can amplify delivery;<br \/>\nUnderstand and practice a number of techniques for handling tough questions;<br \/>\nAnd More!!!<\/ul>\n<p>Prior to attending, participants will be asked to prepare background notes for a 4-6 minute speech. They can choose to either persuade an audience on a point of view or to take a complex subject and simplify it. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to practice these and get critiqued. Note: They can benefit from the course even if they are unable to do the preparatory work.<br \/>\n***Please note that there is a $30.00 deposit to attend the workshop.
