Our RIC leadership team, comprising David Phipps, Assistant Vice-President, Research Strategy and Impact, York University / RIC Network Director, and Bissy Waariyo, Director, Strategy and Operations, RIC, was recently invited to participate in the 13th annual McMaster Conference on Education and Cognition on July 9, where they were included in the speakers list. The speakers in this conference explored how cognitive principles can inform instructional design and critical issues in education to bridge the gap between the lab and the classroom.
David was part of a four-person Q&A panel discussion on how to turn a research plan into impactful research by making it visible and generating meaningful connections. Bissy presented on research impact and meaningful co-production with the community.
It was a fantastic day of engaging with an incredible group of postdoctoral fellows!
Thank you for the invitation, McMaster University!
