COURSE STRUCTURE:
MobilizeU is comprised of a combination of core content, and activities.
The core content teaches the basics of the module topic. It includes a pre-recorded video, a reading or resource to watch/read/listen to, and a topic summary of the key learnings for the module. Think of the core content like your course lecture and reading. Watching, reading, reviewing these materials is mandatory.
The activities are additional opportunities to activate your learning. This includes the assignments, and the live Zoom sessions.
To earn the course certificate, you must watch/read/review all the core content for all 8 modules, and complete a total of 6 activities–which 6 you complete is up to you! (For example, you could attend 6 live Zoom sessions, OR complete 6 assignments, OR mix and match!).
The course certificate can be completed entirely asynchronously if you opt out of/can’t attend the Zoom sessions. However, we highly recommend attending live for an opportunity to engage with your cohort and learn from knowledge mobilization experts across the country.
WHAT IS THE COURSE SCHEDULE?
Core content will be uploaded to the course online platform every Monday morning. Participants can watch, read, and review these on their own time.
Live Zoom sessions are hosted one day a week (time of day and day of the week subject to change per iteration).
Assignments have soft deadlines each week of Friday at 11:59pm ET–final deadline for all assignments is the last day of the course.
Live sessions will feature presentations from leading knowledge mobilization experts, and breakout room discussions. These sessions will also be recorded and made available to watch later.
HOW IS THE COURSE DELIVERED?
This course is fully online (Canvas and Zoom). It can be completed asynchronously
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT EACH WEEK?
