“Thank you for joining us for today’s KM in the AM session with Michael Johnny about Knowledge Mobilization and the MobilizeU course! It was fantastic to see such an engaged group, and we hope you found the session insightful and valuable.

Michael provided a detailed overview of MobilizeU, an innovative knowledge mobilization training program that has evolved from a series of workshops into a comprehensive, self-directed course aimed at building capacity for knowledge mobilization in diverse professional settings. He shared some excellent insights on the growing importance of knowledge mobilization, the role of training and capacity building, and how the course continues to evolve across campuses and communities.

Key Highlights:

  • The origins and evolution of MobilizeU, starting from workshops at York University to its expansion across Canada.
  • The essential training components of the course, including topics on partnership building, inclusive knowledge mobilization, and research impact assessment.
  • Opportunities for Saskatchewan-based participants to engage with MobilizeU and explore the potential for a local iteration tailored to our province’s unique needs.

We also appreciate your active participation during the Q&A portion, where we discussed how knowledge mobilization can be adapted to different sectors, including human services, and how it can benefit research facilitators, scholars, and community partners alike.”
