Impact and Engagement Case Study Guidelines

The Impactful Academic: Building a Research Career That Makes a Difference has outlined how you may start or continue your research career in a direction that can have broader societal impacts. In addition to sharing knowledge to support you in your research career, we have also developed a tool to help you collect and communicate the evidence of the impact of your research beyond academia.

Within this tool, you will find the following to support you in this important work:

  1. Guidelines on how to use the tool to collect and describe evidence of the impact.
  2. An interview guide to help you collect evidence of the impact from stakeholders.
  3. A case study template to help you describe the impact of the research/evidence/project.

The tool is presented as a live document in Word format with the intention to provide you with the opportunity to amend it and adapt it to suit the needs of your own contexts.
