Institute for Knowledge Mobilization

The Institute for Knowledge Mobilization and Research Impact Canada are pleased to announce an exciting collaboration that will ensure the future success and vitality of the Canadian Knowledge Mobilization Forum.

The Forum was created in 2012 to bring together practitioners, researchers, students, administrators, thought leaders, and others engaged in the art and science of knowledge mobilization. Together we create better practice; better policy and supports; more effective monitoring and evaluation systems; enhanced training processes; improved employment and job classification policies; more efficient implementation procedures; and further innovation, all with an ultimate goal of greater value for society. The Forum is organized as an opportunity to share what you know and to push the current boundaries of what we do as KMb professionals. This event provides access to some of the best minds and most creative practitioners in the field.

With the 8th edition in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 8-9, 2020, Research Impact Canada will play an enhanced leadership role in this biennial event. This collaboration continues the Institute for Knowledge Mobilization’s history of fostering the growing KMb community. By working closely together, the Forum will continue maturing and be further integrated into the professional development of KMb practitioners.

We are also pleased to announce that the Chair of the Canadian Knowledge Mobilization Forum 2020 will be Lisa Lachance, President of Wisdom 2 Action, a social enterprise focused on community and youth engagement, evaluation, and knowledge mobilization. She is passionate about the potential for knowledge mobilization to achieve social justice and is always seeking to expand the practice of KMb to be more inclusive.

A call for content will be released soon.
