Lakehead University is a comprehensive, research-intensive university with an enrollment of over 8,500 undergraduate and graduate students across its two campuses, located in Thunder Bay and Orillia, Ontario. Over the last 20 years, it has seen a 138% increase in external research funding, and in 2022, was the highest-ranked university with fewer than 10,000 students in the world for its global impact by Times Higher Education.
Lakehead University’s Office of Research Services (ORS) has a Research and Knowledge Mobilization Facilitator who supports researchers with the development of their knowledge mobilization plans for grant applications. In addition, Lakehead University hosts 14 research centers, many of which have their own Knowledge Mobilization Specialists or Knowledge Brokers, who support targeted knowledge mobilization efforts related to their research areas.
