On March 21, 2023, Research Impact Canada hosted a peer learning group on “Using Evidence for Impact.” This was a hot topic that our Future Skills Centre Community of Practice members wanted to learn more about. They wanted to know how to demonstrate impact when applying for grant funding, evaluating programs and projects, communicating with key stakeholders, and so much more. Learning how to capture social benefits and feedback through concrete evidence was important to them. The primer presentation at the beginning of the session was conducted by Blueprint. After Blueprint’s presentation, participants were divided into breakout rooms to discuss how they use evidence at their organizations to demonstrate impact. The session concluded with a summary of the main themes heard from the breakout rooms.
