Université Laval (ULaval) is a research-intensive university, member of the U15 group of Canadian research universities, committed to mobilizing knowledge for the purpose of generating tangible impacts on society. ULaval has always been a driving force of societal and technological changes, a commitment reaffirmed by its new strategic plan for 2023-2028. The strategic plan, along with its corresponding action plan, will steer our knowledge mobilization initiatives for the next five years.

ULaval hosts 10 Institutes, 47 Research Centres, more than 175 Research Chairs, and 6 prestigious Canada Excellence Research Chairs, covering a wide range of research topics. Several of these research units maintain a very close relationship with their partners in the field, and some shine through their high-impact actions for society.

Operating within the Office of the Vice Rector, Research and Innovation, dedicated resources drive initiatives and assist in translating research outcomes into lasting societal impacts. This unit facilitates encourages collaborative knowledge mobilization efforts, and aids researchers in establishing sustainable connections with local, national, and international partners.
