On December 9, 2025, the FSC Community of Practice hosted a webinar on “On the Road to Net Zero: Global Lessons from Place-based Skills Development” with panelists from the Institute for Research on Public Policy (IRPP). The webinar explores what global examples can teach us about building local green skills and resilience, supporting workers, and ensuring that the transition is both effective and inclusive.
After the webinar, there was a short break, followed by a peer learning group. The goal of the peer learning group was for participants to take a deeper dive into the conversations from the webinar. This was an opportunity for participants to learn from one another and explore practical strategies and resources to ensure a move to a low-carbon economy would be fair, inclusive, and grounded in community strength.
