On June 10, 2025, the FSC Community of Practice, in collaboration with Research Impact Canada and Diversity Institute, hosted a peer learning group on “Advancing Inclusion: Learning with Black Communities in Canada.” In this session, we discussed how to make the skills and workforce development sector more inclusive for Black Canadians. The goal of the peer learning group was for organizations to share initiatives where they have seen innovative or partnership models work to help advance inclusion and equity. Laurene Williams, Program Manager, Diversity Institute, led the primer presentation.
