CESI’s Research Shop: Enhancing community capacity for evidence-informed action

In this webinar hosted by Research Impact Canada, staff from the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (CESI) will introduce participants to the Research Shop and the features that make it an effective – and recognized – model of integrated knowledge mobilization. We will offer an overview of its structure and operation, reflect on its impact over the past decade, and raise some of the key questions that guide and challenge us as we move forward.

Over the past 10 years, the Research Shop at the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute (University of Guelph) has provided responsive research to local and regional community organizations. This program, one of the first of its kind in Canada, builds partnerships between student researchers and community stakeholders to increase the impact of research and enhance community capacity for evidence-informed action.
